SUMMARY:Vesak Celebration
DESCRIPTION:ATBA’s official Vesak Celebration is on Sunday\, 18 May. Due to the Wesak celebration\, the usual Vihara Open Day will form part of the day’s programme. Sangha from Vimutti will be at the Celebration. \nThe full-day programme starts at 9.00 am (for those wishing to observe eight precepts)\, followed by Open Day\, continuing through to the lighting of Vesak lanterns in the evening. Five precepts will be formally requested just before lunch dana\, followed by pindapat\, a shared meal and dhamma reflections. In the afternoon\, there will also be social activities in the form of a walk up Mt Wellington folllowed by tea\, and the Dhamma School children’s programme. The Vesak lanterns will be lit at dusk. \nAll are welcome to join in the Vesak celebration at any part of the programme.
