DESCRIPTION:The monks at Vimutti Monastery start observing vassa on 21 July\, Sunday. Traditionally known as the rains retreat\, the three-month vassa is the time when the monastic community stay put in one place and intensify their practice. For this purpose\, activities at the monastery will be less\, and Open Days at Vimutti Monastery will be suspended during this period. Vassa ends on 17 October 2024. \nRegular practitioners who wish to deepen their practice during vassa are welcome to visit the monastery for self-practice.
