Pah Bah Ceremony (in lieu of Kathina)
To commemorate the end of vassa, Vimutti is holding a Pah Bah Ceremony. This beautiful ceremony brings together the lay community and Sangha, fostering a sense of harmony and shared purpose in supporting the monastery. It is an opportunity to honour the Sangha by offering robes and requisites and share merits. The Sangha reciprocates with chanting, blessings and dhamma teachings.
The programme includes:
- taking 5 precepts
- offering alms food to monks
- shared meal
- robe offering
- dhamma teachings
- chanting and blessings
Come and join in this meaningful ceremony with the Sangha.
Donations
ATBA has plans for a major project to improve the accommodation available for senior monks at Vimutti. As senior monks age, there is a growing need to refurbish the existing Mahathera Kuti and equip it with appropriate facilities that take care of the health, safety and nursing needs of senior resident monks. We also envision the need for a new kuti for senior visiting monks at a more easily accessible location. Most of the existing kutis are at the back of the property.
Your generous donations at this Pah Bah will go towards the development of the two kutis. The bank account for donations is BNZ 02-0192-0469144-00 reference “Pah Bah”.
