The March Open Day at the City Vihara on 29 March, Sunday, is going to be a special day where we’ll honour the founders and elders who established the Auckland Theravada Buddhist Association (ATBA). Ajahn Kusalo and Sangha from Vimutti will be at this special event. The programme is in two parts.

The morning segment includes:

• Taking of 5 precepts
• Rice pindapata
• Dhamma reflections
• Shared meal

The afternoon segment to celebrate Founders & Elders Day includes:

• Speeches/expressions of gratitude
• Paritta chanting
• Water blessing
